The city auditor shall be a Certified Public Accountant licensed as such by the state of Illinois Department of Education and Registration. Pursuant to Section 3-14-1 of the Illinois Municipal Code, (Ill. Rev. Stat., Ch. 24, Sec. 3-14-1), the city auditor shall not be required to be an elector or resident of the city.
