All claims against the city for goods purchased, damages, or originating in any other way, except for claims for salaries and other allowances that are fixed by ordinance, must be presented on or before the last Monday of each month to the city clerk. All such claims must be in writing and items shall be specified. (Prior code § 2-4-10)
